October

10–19 October – Dark Örö

  • On the fortress island of Örö in the Archipelago Sea National Park, the magic of darkness will once again be celebrated this October! The snowless landscape and the dark autumn sea are cloaked in shadow – only the stars shimmer in the autumn sky.

From 10 to 12 October, there will be guided workshops and activities themed around both outer space and insects. From 13 to 19 October, you can enjoy self-guided activities at your own pace and on your own schedule. Explore the island's fairy tale trail, follow the Milky Way, and drop into the open craft workshops.

Throughout the week, you'll have the chance to face your fear of the dark – and perhaps leave it behind on the island. The program is free of charge, suitable for all ages, and organized safely.

During Dark Örö, you can spend multiple days on the island for an autumn holiday or simply visit for a day trip.
