Major Sustainability Recognition for Örö

Visit Örö has been selected as one of Europe's 35 best regenerative tourism destinations, and we were featured in the European Parliament exhibition "Tourism for Europe, Europe for Tourism" in Brussels on 26–30 January 2026. The exhibition was organized by the European Travel Commission (ETC) and hosted by Members of the European Parliament Daniel Attard (S&D) and Nikolina Brnjac (EPP).

The exhibition presents 35 European tourism destinations and their best practices, showing how tourism can be a force for good: supporting local economies, restoring nature, and strengthening local communities. We are proud that our Visit Örö project was chosen to represent Finland as an inspiring regenerative tourism story.
